QUESTIONS FOR THE INTERVIEW FOR THE JOB POSITION IN ANDORRA / ALHUCEMAS (I)
1. I'm taking part in a public job competition, what are your personal motivations for the position?
Cultural Exchange & Sapnish Language Promotion
-
I’m passionate about promoting Spanish language and culture around the neighbor countries. I have been working for 12 yrs in Portugal and now i am working in Morocco. So, I desire to work in Andorra, to complete more these countries. I´d like to promote and encourage the Spanish languages spoken in Andorra, both Catalan and Castilian. In the other side, if I gain the position in Alhucemas, I´d expand my konwledge of Morocco, a thrilling country, given that now I am working in Rabat and Alhucemas is in another region, Rif, with an own personality, since it is in an amazigh area.
-
I believe that teaching abroad is a great way to foster intercultural understanding: on the one hand, in Andorra between two Spanigh languages, and on the other hand, in Alhucemas, between Arabic and Amazigh cultures and Spanish language and culture.
📚 Professional Growth
-
I want to expand my teaching experience by working with students from different cultural backgrounds.
-
I see this opportunity as a way to grow both professionally and personally.
✈️ Love for Traveling and New Challenges
-
I enjoy stepping out of my comfort zone and adapting to new environments. Last year you asked me (the competion court) if I thought that I woud adapt to Morocco. Now I can say that my adaptation is excellent: I am very well considered by the Leadership Team, especially, by the Headteacher, and by my collegues in the Spanish School of Rabat, since taht I am the the head of complementary and extracurricular activities, and responsable of Social Networks. I must hire buses and comunicate in French with the companies. Also, I hace a fluid communication with the representants of the Parents Associations.

Living abroad would allow me to combine my love for teaching with my passion for travel. I´d like to take advantage of this job for know in depth Andorra, Catalonia and the South of France or, alternatively, the Rif and the cities in the North of Morocco (Nador, Tetuán, Chauen) and the Spanish city of Melilla. And in both cases, I would combine it with the learning of Catalan or Arabic, the gastronomic uses, the hiking in the mountains and the customs of a people of Catalonian roots or an Islamic people in the case of Alhucemas.
