QUESTIONS (VI)
1. YOU, AS TUTOR OF A GROUP OF ESO, HAVE DETECTED SEXIST BEHABIOUR AMONG STUDENTS. WHAT ACTIONS WUOULD YOU DO?
These behabiour is something inadmissible, but they are useful for educating in equality, promoting values of non-discrimination, prevention of gender violence and education in effective equality in rights and oportunities between men and women.
1. To talk with the students that have had these behaviours.
2. Involve the parents (it could be a beginning of bullying or sexual harassement.
3. Search for support in the teaching team, the Head of Studies and the school guidance department, as well as the person responsable to promote equality (in Andorra there is not School Board, so there is not this person) or the Welfare Coordinator., searchig a solution inside the Organization and Working Rules of the School.
4. To promote a respectful dialogue inside the classroom. Also, is an excellent oportunity to develop oral expression in Spanish.
5. Incorporate the gender perspective in the teaching daily practice.
6. To create a safe area, where sexist behabiours are cancelled.
7. Use of inclusive resources, without gender stereotypes or sexist language.
8. Activities in tutoring classes that promote empathy and cooperation between students of different gender, as RPG (Role-playing games), discussions and teamwork.
9. Colaboration with the H of S in the implementation of disciplinary rules.
10. Celebrate diversity in the school: Day against violence of gender, Women´s Day and other activities during the Cultural Week.
What activities your Dpt. contribute to the Plan of CEA?
● Jornada de las Ciencias (organizado por el Ministerio de Educación de Andorra con la participación de centros de los tres sistemas educativos). Encuentro (Trobada de Joves Cientifics).
Participación en las Olimpidas de Biología para los centros del exterior, así como en los programas de recuperación de pueblos abandonados y de educación ambiental.
Creación de una radio escolar, con programas de entrevistas a científicos/as famosos mediante IA.
Participación en los talleres de Escola verda.
Estudio de los paisajes andorranos, con el departamento de Catalán y Ciencias Sociales de Andorra. Participación en el Camino de Santiago.
